    Fresh Scrape?????

In the process of moving a feeder this weekend, I discovered a scrape/ rub about 10 yds from the new feeder location. It rained 1/4" on Friday night. This scrape had fresh sign in it Sat morning. And again Sun morning. This pic is from sun morning and my foot prints from sat are "scraped" over.

If there are exotics they are invisible. We've owned this place for 15+ yrs and aside from an EMU we corralled into our pasture that was loose on the county road we have no exotics

Is there a broken twig above it like a normal scrape would have?

I saw 3 last Saturday too. (same general area)
And we have no exotics that I know of either.....

They were directly under licking branches too. (all 3)

They've been there for two years. So I checked the spots looking for dropped antlers and saw that they were made fresh.

I would've posted pics, but my wife updated my iPhone and it erased all data (numbers, pics, contacts...... Everything...)

I dont think it is coincidence if they are under licking branches. My original thought was turkeys

Mine had deer track in them....
And I've seen deer at all three of these scrape sights making fresh.

I've heard deer hit scrapes all year (both buck and doe)
So I didn't think much about it...

                  Sorry, not trying to hijack.
Just very curious now, and trying to add to it to figure it out...

really didn't pay attention to what was above. The well worn cedar shrub and bare ground with deer prints in it is what got my attention. no fresh sign of turkey (foot prints, feathers etc) in the area, but they roost 200 winding yds down this creek.

I've been seeing the same thing here in The Woodlands. Deer tracks in them probably have three within 75 yds of the feeder. This has been going on for the last month. Antlers dropped about a week and a half ago. Where's Dr Deer when you need him?
