I'm looking to buy 1000 rounds of 223 FMJ. I have never bought ammo off the internet before. Any recomendations on good deals online?

If you just want some cheap stuff to shoot up and don't plan on reloading any of it . The least expensive stuff you can get is WOLF brand from Cabelas. 1000 rds on sale will run ya less than 200 bucks, it's been awhile since I bought any of it but I think the last time I bought some, maybe a year ago when there wasn't anything else around to buy I got it for 156.00 plus shipping. Its steel cased not brass so you cant reload it but that might be OK if all you doing is shooting it.
I was told yesterday that all ammo is going up 10 % across the board no exceptions in April. So now is a good time to stock up.
I have about 100,000 rds of various calibers and still buying more when I can find it cheap. I figure my kids/grand kids/great grand kids are gonna need it and wont be able to buy it in the future so I'm stocking up for them . My goal is to have 100,000 rds for every caliber of weapon that I own and at least 2 weapons in each of those calibers.

Cheaper than Dirt is anything but and they suck in my experiences.
You can get lucky from time to time on sportsmanship guide.
The problem with ammo to go is you have to pay tax and shipping. I usually only buy when I'm looking for something I can't find elsewhere.
I've found my best deals at aim surplus, palmetto state armory, ammoman, Georgia arms, wideners, etc.....

You might want to try the cheap stuff first before you by in bulk. I have bought the Russian brand. It runs thru my Taurus with no problems but my SR9 won't cycle it at all. My PT-92 is 20years old and fired 100s of rounds,my SR9 is only 3months old. Both of them cycle American made with no problems. I'm just saying try it before you by a large quanity that you might not be happy with. I always felt good about cheaperthandirt, but I drive a chevy and my brother drives a ford.
