    turkey broadheads

do any of you use special broad heads for turkeys ?

I'll be watching. I'm thinking about using the 2-Blade bloodrunner. With a 2 1/16 cutting diameter I figure it will help hit the vitals. However, I'm curious what others will be using.

I haven't gone after turkeys with my bow yet and im planning on doing it this season. I'm going to use rage 2 blade cause I just have some laying around. Other wise I would go with the blood runner

out of a compound, any sharp broadhead should work fine. I've had good luck with slick tricks and buzzcuts

I absolutely love Rage 2 blades on turkey. Leave a massive hole and if you shoot them right then no wasted meat. I switched over to the Blood Runners for deer and I bet they will do a good job as well. Expandables do a nasty job on them IMHO. I have also shot Muzzies and Magnus at them, but had to chase and find the turkeys. Big holes = DRT on turkeys.

I use my 100gr 3 blade Muzzys. Tried and true.

I have found new sharp one burn through too quick. So I take some dull ones out that I have shot through other stuff with all there nicks, and dings, as long as there not bent to bad and use those. Works every time!

Had a Real Nice Gob come in and I smoked him, feathers everywhere and he runs off. After hours of searching I give up. Im sure hes dead but cant find em. Went back to camp and asked my bud and he told me to use the dullest ones I had. Switched some blades out and that next morn had three on the ground right were they stood.

Does copper plated number 5's count? Actually I am planning to give the bow a shot this year, prolly just use my old muzzy 3 blades.

I have only killed one Gobbler with my bow but I shot it with a 3-Blade Rage and it didn't go far.

The only thing special about my turkey broadheads is that the Slick Trick 100 gr magnum blades have been resharpened after running them through the previous season's deer.... I don't use new blades on turkey but I do touch them up a bit.
