My garmin has worked well for me over the last few years. Just don't set it down anywhere your elbow might be set. I smashed the screen on my first one getting into the car after setting it on the center console. It made a neat sound that I won't soon forget. Live and learn.

I've got a Garmin. It's my first one so I can't compare it to anything. It works well though.

Garmin.....all the way. Buy the cheapest model they offer. It's all you need. My experience with GPS units is that it's best if you really don't have an idea where your going....they work best that way. If you have a pre concieved idea where to go then you don't believe what it tells you. They will get you there, but it may not be the route that you have in your mind. You gotta BELIEVE.

I have had two Garmins. Most recent is the wider screen Nuvi. Ive been happy with it. The touch screen isn't very "touchy" but other than that, I've been very happy with my Garmins. I even have a Garmin eTrex thats done very well.

Same here. Considering their iPhone app also.
