I understand the anger and I am no less incensed. But there is no such thing as earthly justice when it comes to that heinous of a crime. The best we can do as a civil society is to humanely execute him and rely on God to deliver the ultimte justice. We must remain humane, not because of what he is, but because of what WE are. We should never allow the lowest common denominator of society to influence our standard of conduct. He may be depraved, but we are not. We are better than that.

Agree: "no such thing as earthly justice when it comes to that heinous of a crime."
Disagree:"The best we can do as a civil society is to humanely execute him and rely on God to deliver the ultimte justice."
He doesn't deserve to have the same humane ending as the majority of the people on this earth do. He murdered an infant and that is unforgiveable. I may get slandered as non-christian for this but I don't care. He deserves a torturous ending to his pathetic existance.

In my own humble opinion, no matter if he is sentenced to life in prison or death, he won't last five years. Inmates looking to gain status take it as a sport to kill a child molester, and they gain credibility inside by doing so. More, the guards won't do as much as they could to make sure this man doesn't die at the hands of another inmate.
The prison system cannot protect this man 24x7x365, and it just takes that one minute, and the other inmates are looking for it. When he's killed you won't hear about it. It will most likely go quietly by.
But he won't die a pretty death, and he won't die anywhere as nicely as you guys would try to make it. It will be worse. Honey, ant hills - none of that stuff will hold a light to what these ends mates will do to him. More than likely it will be death by booga booga, or something like that.
