    Fencing???

Need to know if this will work in your opinion.
Trying to stretch my dollar a little bit and wanted to buy some cattle panels and cut em down the center to make two 16' x 24" panels. Times 5 or 6 to make my pen. Then run 1 or 2 strands of barbed wire above the panels. T post every 8'. My main goal is to keep pigs away from my corn.
I'm not a fan of pens bucause it seems like the deer get nervous around them.

Anywho, will a 24" tall cattle panel with 1 or 2 strands of barbed wire keep the oinkers out???

Is 8' separating the post ok?
I'll probably make it round to keep some spring and tension in the panels.

Just saw that thread, didn't really cover what I needed to know.
He's looking for ideas, and I guess this is an idea. Just needed to know if it would work.
I think it will, just don't wanna cut the panels and do all the work to see first pack of pigs come along and jump the 2.5' - 3.5' barrier. Or bust the welds on the panels and make themselves some doors.....

Should keep out the smaller ones but the big ones will sadly find their way in eventually.

Some cattle respect fences, some don't. I would give it a try.

Should work fine. We used some concrete reinforcing wire to build a feed pen. However the deer wouldn't jump it so we created gaps by removing the top half in various places. Deer go in, and the hogs still stay out. Unless you have cattle I don't see a need for the barb wire across the top.

The cows are fed daily, have good hay, and molasses tubbs.
They generally don't hit our feeders except for my dads because they can reach the spinner plate. Lol
I really don't think they'll try to get by the fence for what little corn hits the ground.

So you think the 2' tall panels will keep the pigs out???
