Dang this wind sucks!

Wind has been blowing 30+ mph all stinkin day. Does the wind always blow like this in the panhandle? I had 850 pictures on the trail cam with a couple of bruisers on it so I will be sticking it out.

This is so cool to be surfing TBH while sitting in the Double Bull! And I don't need no stinkin' I-phone.

I don't know Mike, it felt pretty good in my ground blind an hour ago. Thought we had rough weather moving in and had my granddaughter with me so we went to the house. Better luck tomorrow for you.

Well I guess its not too bad. I just let 2 bucks walk. one's a cull that my daughter would love to take and the other was young 8 point. I have cam pics of much better bucks so he got a free pass today.

Mike, I hunt in Collingsworth Co. some too on my bro-in-law's place just sound of Shamrock. It's windy quite often. There is usually a LOT less deer movement when it's blowing hard like that - especially in the more open areas. They stay in the thick stuff when it's windy. If you have a setup in the thick stuff somewhere, you might be in business on the downwind side. One thing about it, there's not a lot of swirling currents when it blows hard.

There are at least 2 or 3 days a year that are calm though. Maybe you'll get one of those during deer season. I hope I'm there on that day too!
