Who does good work on triggers in DFW

I have a Remington 700 BDL in .270 that I have had for about 10 years. I love the rifle, but would like to have a new trigger. I am considering sending it to Hill Country Rifles, but would like to know if you guys can recommend someone in DFW that can do it.

    Thanks!

I've done trigger jobs on both pistols and rifles and recently did one on my Remington 760 which I believe is the same trigger assembly if you want I can take a look at it for you since were pretty close to each other

Dumb question, but have you already tried adjusting the factory trigger? I've had several that safely got down to 2 1/2 lbs and tuned up nicely. Also had a few that didnt, but new springs were really cheap and got me there on all but one. You may have already been down that road, but this could save you some money just in case.

I haven't adjusted it. If I can find a qualified gunsmith to do it, I may go that way. Thanks.

You don't need a gunsmith to adjust a Model 700 trigger. They can be adjusted safely and easily with nothing more than a small screw driver and a bottle of finger nail polish to re-seal the threads once the adjustments are made. They can be made unsafe, but if you follow the directions, perform ALL safety tests and use some common sense, you'll be fine. Google "Remington 700 trigger adjustment" and youll find several well documented/detailed instructions on how to proceed. If you install a jewell, timney or rifle basix your probably going to have to adjust them too. The process is pretty much the same as adjusting the factory trigger, so you might as well give it a shot on the original before going to the expense of replacing it.

I just put a Timney in my 700 and it was really easy. I did it just sitting on my couch. I am in DFW if you get one and need help putting it in.
