go bowfishing and kill a bunch of carp...then dump them somewhere near your blind. as long as you can stand the smell, something should come in for you to shoot at.

I have used the gut pile trick and it seems to be the easiest to come by, but they are keen animals.

I shot at a few with my bow and have only connected with one. It was at Granger WMA while I was deer hunting. I used a rabbit distress call for about 5 minutes 30 minutes before sunset and then 2 coyotes came in at sunset and I was able to connect at less than 10 yards away from my tree stand. I have had this happen multiple times in the deer stand where I call for no more than 5 min and then 30+ minutes later a yote or bobcat will come within 50 yards of my stand. This works the best when the wind is under 10 mph. Sometimes I think less calling is more when you want them close. With that being said I have shot many coyotes in close with constant calling. Two years ago I shot 2 coyotes within 20 seconds of each other with my TC Encore 22-250 (not your typical yote gun). I was hunting with a foxpro set as loud as it could go and playing constantly. The first was shot at 30 yards and the second at 50. This is the tactic that most people take all the time, I like it only when the wind is blowing hard. As in the case above the wind was blowing 25+ mph.

I occansionly call over dead hogs tied down so they stay in the same spot. This seems to work best at night. Never tried it with a bow. Maybe a Hawglite would work. Although there is a big difference between shooting a feeding pig and a coyote that is coming in alert. The night makes it much harder in some aspects.

The other time that I usually get them in close is when I am turkey hunting. Just normal turkey calling has brought them in multiple times.

Hope your successful. It is hard to connect with a bow. They are so fast. They can spin and duck faster than any deer. In the past I have been hunting with an older PSE and have just recently upgraded to a Z7. I gained 100+ fps and the new bow has significantly less noise. This should make all the difference in the world.
