Sounds to me like your 200 lbs of dogs did their job. He may have come in if he hadnt alerted the dogs and had them staring him in the face through the door. I think dogs are one of the best security systems available. Our dogs arent as big as yours, and sometimes i wonder if they would actually do any damage if someone ever made it in, but they darn sure go crazy barking and running to the door at the slightest sound outside, and that alone makes me feel safer. Plus we have a few Beware of Dog signs hoping they may move to another house if they see those.

Glad it turned out well for you Thor. Too bad the dogs didn't get their midnight treat.
We lost some gas at the church this week to thieves. Went to fuel up for the trip to the airport in the morning and both vans were on empty with the fuel tubes between the nozzle and the tank cut wide open. Not good when gas hits the pavement on a fill up. Glad we were anticipating it.

I didn't know what a dogo breed of dog was until I did a little search online of them. That is one dog I would not want to meet face to face if I was trying to break into someones place! My Labs probably would not bite a burglar but they do a good job of barking at strange noises in the night and of keeping the shady looking neighbors on the outside of the fence!

Never felt more secure than when our Rhodesian Ridgeback would take over downstairs. He was a big guy, and his bark was vicious. Wouldn't let anyone in the back either. Insurance surveyor came and was a real jerk, and the dog went nuts! Said, "That's ridiculous! What do you need a dog like that for anyways?" I just told the guy I didn't know what had gotten into him. He was always such a good judge of character.
There's a reason they're called "man's best friend." Glad you're all ok.
