Whatever you choose, make sure it is labeled specifically for sheep and not goats. Goats have a higher copper requirement, which can be toxic to sheep. I buy the sheep and goat tubs from TSC during the winter, and put out minerals with VitaFerm Ewe and Lamb mixed with them year round. If you feed the VitaFerm by itself, they will empty the feeder in one day, but by mixing it with salt or minerals it limits their daily intake.

We feed black eyed peas and our sheep tear them up.

If you are feeding rams, you will want to make sure that you get a feed with ammonium chloride in it. This prevents urinary calculi (water belly).
