The one in Sweetwater is the largest one from what I hear so it'd definitely be the one to go to if you can.My brother has been to the roundup in Waynoka,Oklahoma and he said it was pretty cool so I'm thinkin about goin this year.Except I don't just wanna go there I'd like to be a part of it and actually catch some snakes.

The one in Sweetwater is ok to go to. There is a gun show with it that is usually a pretty good show for that area. The snakes are ok to look at but the entire building stinks due to the snakes. They kill them and cook them up different ways, but other than that there isn't much else to do there. It's fun once or twice but I wouldn't go every year.

The last weekend of April, here in Freer they always have The Rattlesnake Round-up...
It used to be real good back in the days and then fell off the face of the earth for some time, but after narrowing out the bad and getting a new board together, they have tried to reclaim what the old round-up once was!
This years line-up is Randy Rogers and Wade Bowen along with other openers...
Check out Freer Rattlesnake round-up for more info

The one in Taylor used to always be in early to mid March, usually around the same time as local spring breaks, but it was in early May last year. I think there were a couple years of cold weather that caused them to move it back. I have never been becasue they won't let me carry a shotgun or a cotton hoe in there and I am not going near that many snakes without either one of those things.

Been to Sweetwater many times. It is more than a roundup, it's an event. Most other roundups are small compared to Sweetwater. Brownwood used to have one....haven't heard lately if they still do. Freer has a good one. Sweetwater does have a dandy gun show at the same time. You will meet people from all over the world at Sweetwater.
