I still have my Dads Remmington 1100 he bought at Sears for like 95 bucks.

I loved Gibson's, used to mess around in that store for hours until I got in trouble and ran out.

I would just walk across the parking lot to M.E. Moses and get me some candy cigarettes and wax bottles.

ah, M.E. Moses! That was my kid's store! Always had unique toys. If we were good while mom was in the supermarket (we were locked in car many times LOL) we could go into M.E. Moses on occassion.

I think it was just south of downtown on 59. Maybe Fannin...right before 59 and 288 split up. The bldg. is still there with the Sears sign on it but don't know if the store is open.

The Sears store here in Dallas was something like 8 floors. It was downtown on Lamar St.. Momma would head down to the basement where the clearance stuff was. I would haul butt up to the candy counter with all my coke bottle money and buy as many JuJu Beans that I could.

Got my first bow with S&H Green Stamps in 1965. Still have it too. Several of my Christmas presents came from the S&H Green Stamp Store.

I owned several pairs of Toughskins jeans purchased at Sears when I was a kid...

I think most of our hunting and fishing gear came from Howards, Palmers Sporting Goods and Beach Bait & Tackle when I was a kid. Some of you Brazoria County folks may remember some of them.

BTLowry, you're correct, they sure do, I just checked, they've got ladder stands, primos game cam, knives, rods & reels, etc. very impressive sears! The big deal was when Sears Roebuck & Co. (what it's always been known as) merged with Kmart back in 2004-ish, give or take a year. Once the merge was finalized, the two became known as "Sears Holdings"
