What to do in Gruene?

I'm headed to Gruene this weekend. Originally planned on fishing at Canyon Lake but decided against that due to weather. Anybody have any suggestions on what to do during the day.

Gruene Hall , I believe it is the oldest Music Venue in Texas . . .

If you play golf there are some good courses within 20 minutes of there. The Bandit and Landa Park are two that I can think of off the top of my head.

For food, nothing comes close to the Grist Mill just next to the hall. Take my advice........Beef Tenderloin Sandwich and onion rings.....crap I'm hungry now!

X2! If you go to Gruene Hall it'd be a waste to not eat at the Grist Mill. Try and get a table outside overlooking the water around sunset.

Jason Boland is playing at River Road Ice House tonight. This is coach's wife & I'm taking him to the show tonight for his b-day. Tickets r $15. Two Tons of Steel is at Gruene Hall tonight, but that didn't interest us.
