STI Spartan 45??

I am looking at purchasing my first pistol, the STI Spartan 45. My brother works there and I was able to shoot his this past weekend. The gun felt great and was very accurate.

Ok braintrust, what are your opinions on this gun? Looking for any and all feedback.

I don't know about the gun as I don't have any personal experience with it, but it is imported by STI and assembled there. It is not an STI built weapon.

I own one, but it's no where near stock. I bought it when I worked there and completely went through it and customized and accurized it with the help of Chris (Chrisgunguy). It will shoot a 2" 3 shot group @ 50 yards off the bench. I'm very happy with it!

When I did work there, I was in QC and shot them all when they were shipped in, and they were very reliable and accurate as stock. That was before STI started offering them in 9x19, but I have heard very positive feedback on the 9x19 version, as well. Check out, www.1911forum.com. Good information there on the Spartan.

Sorry for the bad pic, cell phone. I have since changed the grips to STI G10 grips.
