My brother and I hunted a place for a weekend hunt the past 3 years. This was a managed land hunt and we were only allowed to take does. The stands were already set up, had been in the same places for years. It didn't matter which one (within reason) you went to, there were deer out there to be seen. I'll tell you this, those does knew where those stands were. Many a time I sat there in that oak tree in that stand I hunted each year and had does come up to eat the corn thrown out in the shooting area before me. As they came out, they'd look at that tree, stamp their foot, snort a little, stamp, snort, move a little closer, stamp, snort, move a little closer.. I'd just sit real still and watch and wait. I've waited for a good 30-45 minutes for them to calm down, then take one out. Other times I have dropped one right there, and stood still while the other two that were feeding with that one came back and I'd try to get a shot at them. If you have feeder, and they have been there, they'll come back. Just be patient and let them calm down, then take your shot. My brother ran out of arrows last year, but he got his two doe in one night. I got one that night, and another the very next morning out of the same stand.

LOL, Jason. You're grandpa and I could have fished together. When I was tournament fishing, if I caught a nonspawning fish in practice, I'd move off the spot before releasing it. I really believe that fish put of chemicals that can shut a hole down.
Same thing with deer. I never shoot does unless they are alone and hogs die around my stuff whenever I can kill one with no deer around. The right buck dies regardless of what's around.
