I have been using RR for about 10 years. My download speeds right now run up to 4Mbps.

I think I am paying $45 a month for it since I have TW cable television. I think it might be $55 without a cable hookup. I am still under my original contract so I am no clue what their price is running now for those speeds and if they may have changed their pricing plans for different speeds.

been with rr since they rolled out, whenever that was...12-15 years ago...I was a 'early bird' beta tester...lol

can't recall what we are paying, have the digital tv whatever cable package, $100 or so...get bursts of 20Mbps but generally, most stuff you are going to connect to it's 6Mbps or less....cool thing is...knock on wood...I don't have that turbo they offer and I get the turbo speeds....just wish they would bump the up up

only thing is with tw that I have experienced over the years...typically, their customer service SUCKS...if you have a problem you will be asked to deconstruct whatever network you have, reboot everything and hook a computer directly into the cable modem....but the problem is always on their end and they just run you through the hoops till they get whatever fixed on their end and it looks like something you did...how do I know this....I got tired of calling and just let it sit there for a bit, 30 minutes till sometimes a couple hours.....and it will always come back up....99.9% of the time you are not changing stuff on your end so it makes logical sense if something breaks...its on the other side....and from my experience...it is on their side 99.9% of the time....only have maybe 1 issue every 3 months or so...

Grande on the other hand...man.....glad our contract at work is up....bye bye grande....

Cable modems cannot be beat for at the home service. RR is the only way to go.

I have rr at home also. Check for their specials, but also check with Clear. You can go online to Clears website and see if you are covered. You can get the same speed for a little less money. Plus you can take it with you.

Thanks Good to hear ATT said when they punch in my address that this is the only speed available in my area ! I live in SW Arlington and my buddies 1/4 mile away are getting > 6 where they live. Like I said I guess I live in some dead area. I swear I think my dial-up on my old 333mgz computer was faster. Time to give ATT the boot !!!

try and get something from whoever you go with as to expectations of service...ie, if they cannot offer you an easy out if their service ends up being crap like ATT....I would be leery...

You must live close to me.

I've been with AT&T DSL for a few years and have always been satisfied. I recently called to make some changes to my service and was told you can upgrade from Express (1.5Mbps) to Elite (6Mbps) and for cheaper to boot!

Pffft, that's a no brainer sign me up!

Come to find out that Elite is really NOT available in my area and when they tried to upgrade me my speed went in the crapper, I mean like I went from a steady and reliable 1.56Mbps to .15 Mbps. I gave them 2 weeks to fix it and they didn't so now I'm with RR and getting averages on 12Mbps down. I have had it peak as high as 20Mbps.

                So far I'm happy.
