Chances are high, he'll have a nose. Depending on the dog of course.

          Sammy

have the aforementioned dogs been bred yet ?? Are the puppies available ??

Here is my honest opinion ..... this is not about you, but rather dog cross-breeding

Both the Weim and BMC are excellent dogs with each having a specific purpose or intent. The Weimaraner is an all around great gundog, and the Black Mouth Cur is used for hunting, baying, and herding.

When people start pretending to be Gregor Mendel , and take science and genetics into their own hands, it ticks me off. Dogs can have severe health issues and genetic defects ....... hip dysplasia, eye problems, temperament, heart conditions, etc..... due to cross-breeding

This is usually done for the selfish benefit of the man, as the dog and future litters are the one's who suffer.

There are plenty of dog breeds available that can be used for any number of hunting situations.

          Personally, I wouldn't touch a Weim x BMC cross with a 10' pole.

I would pass. A good bred dog will fit you better then a crossed up mutt.

My parents have weimaraners and they are good dogs. My cousin has a bmc and he is a good dog. Two good dogs combined dont always equal a good mix. My SIL has a labradoodle, which is exactly what it sounds like mixed together and it has more problems and issues and allergies and what not than any dog I have ever seen. Its a vegetarian for Pete's sake. What carnivorous dog is vegetarian. She gets UTI's all the time. Has these little stubby legs and cant run very much without her heart rate going through the roof (and by not much I mean for 5 minutes). You get a lot of the good when you mix dogs, but you also create a lot of new bad when you mix dogs. They may come out great, but you never know. I would recomend looking into exactly what it is you want the dog for, then picking the one of the two that most closely meets those needs, or search other breeds that may already encompass more qualities to your liking.

I know several people that have laderdoodles, and they are full sized dogs. to me they look like an unshaved poodle though.

Weimaraners are good family dogs but that's all. I run English Pointers for Quail hunting, but they are hyper. How about a Brittany?
