    Ouch this is gonna sting

I really dislike uncontrolled speculation as a commodities practice.

I feel your pain... You gonna have to give your employees a raise so they can afford to drive to work...

Good thing you took a picture of it. That way in about 5 years you can tell your kids "I remember when diesel was ONLY $3.80 a gallon"!

No kidding. I'm going to give some serious thought to selling my 96 7.3 and pick up a used 1/2 ton gasser. I'm not a road warrior like some guys, but when you factor in diesel repairs (if needed) and the price of fuel, filters etc the total cost of ownership adds up quickly. Of course, now isn't the time to sell due to fuel prices, so it's an ugly catch-22 situation.

This is precisely why I chose the Hemi. Still, gas ain't cheap either. Kinda gotta watch where I drive.

Good news is the first deepwater drilling permit in the gulf was released this week. Let's hope they cut a few more loose and increase our supply and decrease the speculation out there

Back in 96 when I bought the truck new, fuel cost wasn't a major concern because diesel was cheaper than gas by about 25 cents/gal. You just had to look harder to find a station that handled it. My, how times have changed.

The good news is that you were at Buc-Ees. Dr Pepper ICEE should ease that pain.

It may be too little too late? Just spoke with an ex-coworker of mine this week. His company had to file chapter 11 due to the shutdown. They strung it out as long as they could but just couldn't take the jack-ups sitting idle any longer. I agree that getting the permits issued again is a good thing but the almost 1 year halt has hurt a lot of people when this country didn't need it.
