handgun question

I know this has already been posted on here but I can't find it anymore. Can you buy a handgun from someone not a dealer under the age of 21?

I would think if the person is over 18, yes. If old enough to own it, old enough to sell it. Havent found anywhere its says you cant.

only those serving in the military 18 and over can own a handgun but even then I dont think you can legally purchase ammo till 21

A person under 21 and over 18 can buy a handgun, just not from a ffl. So I dont see how you can own it but not sell it. You can sell it on Texa Gun Trader if you're old enough to own it.

You can buy one through private sales or through it being gifted to you. You cannot buy from a dealer because federal law prohibits sales to someone under 21 by a ffl.
