It definitely was a time of awakening. There were no DUI's. If you got pulled over, the cop would just follow you home to be sure that you made it ok. More than likely, he already knew your family.

As Bob Hope would say "thanks for the memories"

Enjoyed the video, thanks. I was just a kid (born '59), but remember it as a simpler time. All the narrative in the video seems descriptive of what I remember. Then, it seemed like the world exploded about '68 with Tet, riots at the Democratic Convention, and the assassinations of MLK and Bobby Kennedy. Drugs were becoming a problem, and we learned of their evils in school into the early '70's. Remarkable time to have experienced.
