hard to be a trusty ol revolver,, but there are several that are fairly affordable in the new ones too,,, springfield xd, although it don't like them the glock's are not priced bad,, the newer smith and wesson's are priced decently in the sigma and m&p versions,,,, i just picked up a newstainles kahr 45 for under 500,, not a high cap but easy to carry and shoots fantastic

get you a .357 revolver, I think Taurus makes a cheap one

Look for a used revolver in .357 and you can't go wrong. Pick one up fairly inexpensively.

Get a Charter Arms bulldog 44 special. Great price...great quality...and 44 knockdown power!...They make it in 357 also if you have to have a 357!

I have a Ruger Super Blackhawk 44mag and LOVE it. Shoots 44mag and 44special. You can also get a rat shot for it for snakes.

id go with the judge! I carry a .45 every time I go out. Whenever I get the fever for a new gun it will be a judge.
