    used bows?

what can I look for in a used bow? Been watching the boards and i know it would be better to buy it from a member here but ive seen some deals on ebay also.

When u can get on the phone with someone here and talk aboout their bow, that is hard to beat, u may have no problems on ebay, but I would bet u get much straighter talk here! Send someone PM if u like what they are offering for sale, make em an offer, but do it in a PM!

I've sold some really good bows on ebay and people got a heck of a deal. Saw a man walk into archery shop last week and a Reezen he bought on ebay, and it looked new. Some aren't so lucky....

Get phone number of seller, talk with them and ask all the questions you can think of. Ask for pics of everything and find out how they ship.

thanks, i seen a archery store selling a used z7 for 550 and some others starting at 450. all are bare though

craigslist also has a Hyperlite for 650 rigged out.

Problem I have is I do not have any exp in this so I do not want to get taken.

The bow I have now I paid 200 buxs for and im starting to get the hang of it. Just would like to upgrade it.

I would buy from a long term member here before buying off of craigslist, less likely to get burned on tbh. new Mission Ventures are sweet, and around $400 bare.

Wheelie, check out the archerytalk classifieds to see what the going rate is. I have bought several bows from the sellers there on AT and have always had good luck. I just almost pulled the trigger on a new in the box Hoyt Alphamax 32 for $400. Can't beat that. Let us know how it goes.

I think Scottie is a Bowtech dealer on AT, he may sell Hoyt too, no problems with him and great prices on new bows,

I've bought a few bows from Scottie in the past too. He always has great deals on brand new bows that are a year or two old. Great guy to deal with.

Hear Scottie was a good guy to deal from. I have bought from StoryTeller USA on AT twice. He went out of his way to find me a good deal on a bow he didn't have. He is also from Paris Texas and I like homegrown.
