What's the predominant wind direction in Austin/Bastrop?

What is the predominant wind direction in the Austin/Bastop area? It seems, to me, like a South-East wind; but I haven't paid enough attention to it up here to be sure.

S / SE most of the year...turning northerly after a cold front.

Depends on the time of the year. I will tell you this year we have already had a NW wind and a NE wind. Last year we only had that a couple of times and it was mostly S, SE.

During October, I would think it would mostly be SE, but there may be mornings that it is blowing out of the N.

I have stands set up for a SE wind and for a NE or NW wind.

I would have to say a more S wind, besides the Northerns that push through... although it seems a lot of times no winds... especially in the afternoons...man it's been getting Hot! in the PM up here...

South. Mornings are usually calm, with very little wind.

The wind seems to funnel through Austin up from the gulf straight up 35 through Dallas on to Norman, Oklahoma............because OU SUCKS!!!!

Actually it depends on what Direction your standning in relation to Jeff Young.

That is because of the gravitational pull around my belly

I thought that it was because of the gaseous intestinal pressure of your belly?

Well, you see, son, right before that happens there is massive gravitational pull to build the pressure. Upon release the ozone disappears, winds change direction, and hurrricanes build
