    Looking for a Truck

Other than autotrader, where would be a good place to look for a used truck? I'm searching for one for my son and he has found a couple, but they go fast. He is looking for a 99+, F250, 4x4 and has saved up $3500. We told him we'd match his half, so he's got a total of $7K.

    Ideas?

hopefully your not looking for a diesel. The 99's came with 7.3L and they are going for around 17 to 20K with 100K+ miles. Good luck with your search!

If it wern't for bad luck.......
Yesterday we headed to Dallas to look at a truck and it sold about an hour before we got there. Went across the road and was talking to the salesman about a truck when a deposit was taken on it. THEN we called to tell the we were enroute to get the one that Stuck had turned me onto and was told that it had sold about 20 min. prior.

If anyone has any other leads it'd be appreciated.

              Check craigslist every hour.

I am looking for a older wrangler currently. They are posted every few minutes and are selling just as fast. Don't rush and I guarantee you will end up at the right place at the right time.

You could even post your own ad stating what you are looking for. This might get a potential buy in your hands first before anybody else knows it is for sale. I have used this tactic before with great success.

Might have to go a little older than 99 to get a diesel, but the older 7.3s are worth it.

I paid $6500 for my 93 a few years ago.

They are selling fast, sold my old 1/2 ton today and wasn't even trying. Sitting on the sofa and a guy knocks on the door wanting to know if it was for sale. (truck has been sitting for 8 months) 20 min. later he had a truck and I had money in my pocket. Kept me from putting in a new clutch and the hassles of advertising. Give Brandon a call and let him know what your looking for, he'll work his tail off to locate one for you.
