If I were the King of this great Republic (Texas that is) i would do the following:

Change bow season to be November 1st to January 31st.

Legalize land based casino gambling so we can create jobs for the kids that work at Taco Bell will have a job.

Give teachers a pay increase to a minimum of 50K per year and give incentive pay increases.

Make crimes against minors a life sentence with no chance of parole. Most crimes would include a manditory death sentence if found guilty.

Build more prisons in the most remote parts of the state. Near the border so the family members of the illegals that make up 30% of the prison population today could visit their loved ones more often. Also they can see where they would be sleeping if they decide to cross the fences that are to be built on the border.

Any illgeal alien (mostly the French) caught illegally in the state would serve a one year prison sentence in solitary confignment having to listen to Willie Nelson music 24/7.

Anyone convicted of possessing any illegal drug would be serve a sentence of 1 year in solitary confignment having to listen to Wille Nelson music 24/7.

Anyone convicted of selling drugs would receive the death penalty. Preferably on site to elminate any state cost and we could give the teachers pay increases sooner than later.

All high fenced wild life ranches would be outlawed and forced to lower their fences. I could not resist!!!!

This would be a start.......I need to get ready for the weekend hunt!!!!!

Rusty Fork...you would get my vote. The only thing that I would be against is teh teacher incentive pay. As a teacher, I know it just wouldn't work.

No need giving Jane some pleasure. English is the only language, you can't speak it you don't live here. Amen on the high fences coming down. Lease prices come down too. If we are going to help the kids we gotta help the hunters. No more than $300 a year on any lease, but you have to take a kid hunting or your off the lease. One week per season no hunting license is required for 1st time hunters hunting with a licensed hunter/fisherman.

MLD program required state wide using licensed hunters as the management tool.
