Your suggestions on places to eat in Floresville, TX

Going to spend several days in Floresville TX and not wanting to eat at the rig location all the time. Any input on places to get some good grub? Suggestions will be appreciated and maybe we can break some bread together.

Was there looking at a remodel job a few months ago. We ate a a little Mexican restaurant across the street from HEB. Good food and pretty little gals for servers.

Yea bill miller or valice Mexican food across fRom HEB is pretty good. Down the road a bit is mavrics and it's more home style food. Those are three I would recommend.

The place I was at was right next to a school. Probably "THE" school in town...lol

Of course this is South Texas and it's hard to swing a dead cat and not hit a mescan restaurant.

There are several good Mexican food restaurants. Olivia's (Downtown on C street), Mata's Cafe, P&T's, Veliz (Next to High School), Angelica's (181 N before Tractor Supply).
BBQ's Bill Miller's or Lazy J BBQ.
Home cooking, Jack's, Maverick's (10 miles N on 181), Trail Rider's (Downtown on C Street).

All are good places to eat at reasonable price ranges.

Can't remember the name of the place, but there is a steakhouse that we have eaten at that was pretty good. I believe it was on 97 between Floresville and Stockdale. Seems like it had a miniature train that ran around the place on a rail that went from room to room. Does this ring a bell with anyone?

I believe your thinking of the place just east of La Vernia off Hwy 87. Something like the Rail Station I think.
