In market for a large deer blind. Any brand recommendations?

    Hi Everybody,

Last year I sold my 4x6 Sportmans Condo deer stand with the goal of purchasing something a little larger that will offer plenty of room for me to sit with my kids and wife (if she wants) in the future. I like having a good quality blind that will keep water, leves, dirt out etc - to where there is little to no maintence on my end, and at the same time is ready to sit anytime we want to hunt, or just grab the camera and go video some deer and other wildlife in the off season.

I am thinking I want something at least 6X6, 4X8, or larger. At the same time something that can be easily elevated at least 4ft to get it off the ground a tad (with steps and hand rail to make it easier to access with little kids). I also think I want fiberglass or something similiar - that is lightweight, but durable and weather proof / rot proof - that is also pretty good with keeping sound in.

I live in the Houston area and have looked at Steinhauer's out in Brookshire to get some ideas. My question is do any of you have any feedback (good or bad) on any of the following brands I have been reasearching online?

At the same time are their any other brands out there maybe I am missing out on that I am not aware of - that you would recommend instead?

Superior Fiberglass Blinds (out of Bridgeport, TX)
Boss Game Systems (out of Bryan, TX)
    The Blynd (San Antonio, TX)

    Thanks for your suggestions!

I purchased an executive blind from J&L services, it is insulated metal though. You can get different sizes i have a 5x7 on a 12 foot platform. They delivered and set it up for me for an extra fee. This is a once in a lifetime blind!

Whatever you do buy a fiberglass blind! Can't beat a Boss! Lifetime warranty and even the floor is fiberglass. Most others the floor isn't and you will have to replace it. Also fiberglass is 10x quieter than metal. Plus you can repair it if need to. Metal is loud, cold and it will rust!!!!

I hunt out of Dillon blinds.

One 5X6 1/2 hex rifle blind and a custom built 5X6 1/2 hex (turned sideways) for a bow blind.

Can't beat the quality for the money IMO.

I've got a big ol' blind for sale in the classifieds. You can take your kids, your wife, a few of your kids friends, your uncle and about three cousins.

Look at Superior Fiberglass blinds. I have one and am very happy with it.

I wouldn't buy fiberglass. Get an Atascosa. I've had some of mine for ten years and they are still in great shape.

I have the Boss Hi Roller blind and I love it! They have great customer service and have many dealers throughout the state.

Their blinds are comfortable and are superior in quality.
