It seems odd asking about a fishing guide on a bowhunting forum but I'm sure you folks can provide the advice I need. My son will be home for Spring break next month. I want to take him fishing. I'm thinking trout, reds, flounder....that kind of fishing. I've been a couple times. He hasn't. So we need a guide that is patient with novices and supplies the gear. We want to fish on Thursday, March 24.

As far as taking a novice fishing with a guide. There are a lot of guides who have absolutely no problem with this. Just be sure to let the guide know ahead of time about your expectations and what type of fishing you will prefer. For instance, a novice would probably have a better time using live bait vs. artificials. Is he old enough to wade fish, etc.Comment
