Are they durable enough to be work type boot? Are they true to size?

Yes. I sold them for years while in college. Very well made and heavier than Justins. In fact they may be a little heavier than red wings. Most of the people I sold to were power-line electricians and they like the steel shank in the sole. Said they could stand on ladders for hours and UT would not hurt the arch of their feet.
