Are you comparing the reintroduction of wolfs to the pigs in other parts of the country? IF you are there is no comparison. The elk population in Yellowstone is down in the 25% range from last year. This is a trend that is been taking place since the reintroduction started. Pigs cause lots of damage to rancher and farmers property but I have not seen any evidence or studies
At least in most parts of the country (not in KS) there is no law against killing pigs, but if you kill a wolf, you better not get caught. Wolfs have no natural predators and are losing their fear of man; pigs are at least still scared of man.
If you are asking in your poll, I would one-million times rather have a pig problem than a wolf problem.

I also don't think we should have been reintroducing wolves either as I think thier demise was also part of the naturl order of things. I guess I am just hypocritical like that.
But this is all a different ball game compared to hogs because aren't native game either.

It is nature. Let it be what it will be. As long as they are not killing livestock I have nothing against them. Only the strong survive. If the elk are being knocked down that means the strongest, healthiest, and best genetics are surviving.
I do believe there should be a yearly draw hunt to kill off the excess of the packs that surpass the target number of wolves.
Quality not quanity isn't that what most of us say?

Like I have said before, if they are killing livestock then feed them lead. If not put them on a draw hunt for 500 tags state wide and control the numbers of the wolves.
