Steamboat Mountain off Hwy. 83. There's a county road that winds all the way to the top. Other than that.....Depends on how far you wanna drive. LOL

277 South out towards Coronados Camp. Then left or right on Hwy 70 towards Buffalo Gap or towards Nolan. Come down FM 126 back towards Merkel.

Was really pretty growing up out there, but its littered in windmills nowday but still pretty to me.

        Fixed it.

I thought of this area. It's really pretty, but those windmills have really made it not as pretty anymore.

State park might be nice. I spent many afternoons courting my wife at the Bar B Que Barn in Buffalo Gap. Ice cold mugs of draft, dang good brisket sandwhiches and Merle Haggard on the juke box. What could be a better setting than that?

Buffalo Gap. It's pretty out there. I would go to the state park as well.

I spent four years there in college. The ANSON LIGHTS were always a trip. EVERY time I was out there I saw them.

Perini's would be a GREAT place to pop the question. Seriously!

In Tuscola, you'll be 3 min away from my house. Probably talking about eating at the Tuscola Cafe, Alejandra's, or ..... can't think of the other place. LOL

Anson Lights is fake, but still creepy as heck! The knocking grave at the cemetery is suppa scawwy!

I agree I grew up out there on my granparents farm. Its not quite like it was when I was a kid but its still home.

Perini's is a good place. You can always try to do it out on the back patio if they have a fire going or something. If you are looking for a special fancy dinner then check out Rancho Loma just outside of Coleman. You can check out their weekly menu and make reservations on their website at www.rancholoma.com. It's a old renovated farmhouse with limited seating so you won't have to worry about a large crowd. They have good gourmet food but it will be a little pricier than Perini's.
