    Hog Fever Anyone?

I have noticed that still, even after countless animals taken with a bow and a gun, especially hogs, I still get all jittered up when I get a porker in bow range. However when im 100 yrds out with my rifle I'm as calm as can be. I would have thought by now, my nerves would be a lot more calm when its just a little piggy coming to visit. Maybe thats whats so great about bowhunting. Anyone else have the same nerve reactions?

Ya I'm kinda same way. I just get exited when ever I'm going to shoot something no matter what it is. I like it when something steps out and instantly my heart starts beating faster That's why I love hunting.

Killing pigs are like killing rats to me, they are just a nuisance I'm happy to get rid of!

Haven't been bowhunting in a long time. When I hunted with shotgun, I was calm. Couple years ago when I had my first Wyoming mule deer in my crosshairs, I was shaking like a leaf in the Wyoming wind. When I did bow hunt, I was always excited... I am sure it will be the same when I am in the stand again with my bow.

Some excite me and some don't, it seems the ones like the black boar I have been trying to get get me shook up, I guess because I know how wary he is and how much of a challenge it is to get him
Suprisingly the deer I took in Kansas this year did not get me as shook up before the shot as I would have thought he would especially with him being within 10yds for such a long period. Maybe it was because I had already accepted the fact that I was not going to get a shot (did not check clearance before he showed up) and I was just going to watch him and when he moved around and did offer a shot everything seemed to happen very fast. I did get the shakes afterwards though

Anytime that I make the decision to SHOOT, I start shaking. It doesn't matter what the animal is.

Im the same thing! Calm at 100 with a gun, shakin like a girl at 15 with my bow. On my first hunt this year a small 40 lb hog came in and I could hardly even draw my bow, he never presented a shot though...
