Ok guys I was wanted to take my son for his first hunt and to be honest my first hog hunt also! My question is "Is this the best route?" my son is pull 32lbs at a 24in. draw length on a Bear Apprentice is this enough or should he be pulling more weight? Any other stuff I'm missing?

If you're asking if 32 pounds is enough to kill a hog, the answer is yes. But I wouldn't go trying to shoot any big hogs with that low poundage- stick with shoats and hogs under 70-80 pounds. Good luck! -
Thanks that is what my main concern was! I am hoping he can get it up to around 40lbs be for we go! We have left it at the lower poundage so he could work on his form!Comment

DB Hog Ranch in Bertram has smaller pigs and I guarentee he will get a shot. There are no accomodations there though. Skylar at the Diamond C will do his best to get your boy on one and his place is top notch.Comment

it is enough but the broadhead is close to critical,,,, stay with a true coc fixed blade,, the stinger has to be top of the listComment
