Great advise on having the taxidermy work done here in the states, by your taxidermist. Having absolutely NO recourse is the big problem.
The skulls being stained and the horns black is do to them boiling the heads.
You can fix the color of the horns with some work. As far as "fixing" the eyes and ears.... depends om the tan and adhesives used. I would recomend a new cape and mount for that very nice hartebeest. I would also suggest a form with a slight turn to give it a bit of personality.

Looks like something out of Star Wars. You can tell people you went on an intergallactic hunt.

Outside chance eyes could be straightened out some. Looks like it's dry preserved to me, which might be worth resoaking and trying to get hide off and tanned. I did one like that several years back and it actually worked. Downside, if it doesn't work then you'll have to get another cape or no mount.
            Sorry to see it

Roger, That mount look fantastic compared to the impala I got back in my crate. I'll have to show it to you sometime if I can get you over to my place. I need to get with you to discuss the taxidermy thing with you. I am going back this summer and need to figure out a game plan.
