Buck rub in my yard from LAST NIGHT?

What he heck? he just tore up a 6" trunk magnolia tree 30' from my front door...rubbed the bark off halfway around it...I don't ever remember seeing one this late...guess the cold weather got him worked up again...

I, for one, have enough faith in CC to believe it without pics. Am I surprised a buck is rubbing this time of year? Yes. Am I surprised CC posted this without said pics? Yes. But I don't doubt it is the truth.

            Now where's the pics

That does make a little more sense than a WT like I was thinking.

im not surprised, rubs aren't necessarily breeding marks, probably marking some new territory. I have seen fresh rubs well before archery season and into February myself.

thats crazy. Went to the lease this weekend and checked all of our scrapes and rubs, theyre dead and have been for a month or so.

I'll post a pic tomorrow when I get to the work computer. It's for real. And I don't think it's Axis. BTW I live WAY inside the city limits in SA...just a couple miles outside 410...inside Wurzbach Parkway...I see lots of whitetail but have never seen Axis here...
