    Bowtech Liberty Quick Answer Needed!

My Dad is shooting his old Liberty. He had shoulder surgery a couple of months ago so I backed his bow down but, I am not sure how far I can go.

At this particular time I do not have a scale to measure the draw weight. On all my other bows I can tell how far the limb is out of the pocket and I know when to stop but, the Liberty does not have the pocket to reference to.

I looked at it about 3 full turns back and even went to 4 full turns back. It looks ok and feels ok but, I want to know if I am in the clear before I let him shoot it.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Q-i wouldnt adust below the min draw weight, the limb pockets will start jumping and making noise.
You might turn down 1 more complete turn..
    hope this helps ya..

      Thanks!

What I need to know is how many turns I can go safely. If I had a scale it would not be a problem. You think 5 turns is safe?

I just read on the Diamond website that you do not want to turn the bolts more than 2 1/2 turns total on non-pivoting limb pockets. It says 1 turn equals 2-5lbs.

I am guessing since the Liberty does have pivoting limb pockets it will be closer to the 2lb per turn?? I will probably leave it at 4 turns out and shoot it and listen to it I guess?

Yep,mine is roughly 2# per turn...
Just making sure after shooting a few arrows with the bow backd off/down-inspect the limbs and make sure the limbs are not walking out of the limb pockets ...it will be Ok..
          *Wishin him a successful season...

Liberty 2005 model is the best bow I have EVER owned. I would not adjust the min DW though.
