    We did our job!

We received a great suprise in the mail today. We had one letter in the mail addressed to our oldest daughter, Lauren. It was from UT. She received her acceptance! Not sure if that will be her choice, but my wife and I are very proud of all the hard work she did to get acccepted. While I would love for her to make that her choice, she is the one that did all of the hard work and earned her place there or wherever else she gets accepteded. I hope whichever college she chooses is the right fit for her.

    Hook 'em!!!!!!

For the record, when I say we did our job I mean that we raised her, and got her in a position to go to college. She did all the work to get accepted.

I know what you mean. Our oldest, Katelyn, received her acceptance letter from Texas A&M a couple months ago, and I felt a sense of accomplishment for myself. I raised her to set goals, work hard, refuse to give up. She did those things and I'm proud of her. I was a little proud of me too.

Congrats to your daughter for her accomplishments, and congrats to you too. It's not easy raising responsible, dedicated daughters in today's society, but it looks as if you've done it. I know how tough it can be so you've got my respect.
