Don't set you blind up where the sun will shine on the screen; if you have to, brush a place in to cast a shadow on your blind's window at the time of day you will hunt in it.

Don't look at the screen when you are shooting; look through it

DO DO DO go to walmart, academy, buy some screen and practice shooting though it before you have to face a real situation shooting through it the first time. This saves your screen for game day

Also, remember that things tend to look a little farther away in the blind than they do inside the blind looking through the screening.

I think Wildman covered most of it. I have heard mixed reports on shooting Mechanicals through it and I think it depends on brand, so if you are shooting them I would definitely take some practice shots as Dano suggested.

I am going to b e shooting the NAP Thunderhead XP 100 broadhead....IT has a cut on contact broadhead and will cut the screen and aloow the arrow to follow at that point...I am going to the lease Friday to check the cameras on the last day before season opens and I was thinking about bringing a BLOCK to take at least one shot under the feeder to see how things go....

I always try to shoot the mesh at a right angle. Does it matter....don't know, but have yet to miss through mess with this theory. Oh, I don't recommend mechanicals for shoot through mess.

I am glad that I chose the NAP Thunderhead XP 100's then...They are a fixed blade broadhead.

I have shot at all angles through my mesh and it didn't affect the flight of the arrow. Just make sure your mesh is as tight as you can get it. Also, make sure you are shooting high enough up to actually shoot through the mesh and no the pop up. You should be fine with thunderheads. Also, if you brushed in your blind make sure you got all obstructions out of the way. I missed removing a small twig that I thought was out of the way 4 years ago and on my 1st shot I hit it and almost wounded a deer. Luckily it went right past his rear end.

I wouldn't worry about it being tight. I've shot through it with plenty of slack and seen no ill effects.

Although I don't know this for sure, but Uncle Ted stated on one of his shows to have the mesh loose. But hey, if it worked for you, then maybe it really don't matter. I'm hoping to find out one of these days!!!

Bowstiker. one simple thing that is often overlooked. Make sure the broadhead(arrow) is in the screen and not below it...The bow site is about 8 inches above the arrow.......It is very easy to shoot thru the canvas, and not the screen...

Trent, my grandson, has shot thru my matrix canvas twice this year shooting at hogs.

                      Good Luck.
