    "buck shot in national forest"

I've got a question for you folks. My buddy was sited yesterday for having buck shot in his shotgun while hunting hogs in the Sam Houston National Forest. I've researched all TPWD and cannot find anything that says you cannot hunt hogs with buckshot. Can anybody post up where I can find that information? Thanks

Probably has something to due with Lead Shot vs. Steel shot.

I used to hunt hogs all the time in SHNF with buckshot....safer than a 7mm rifle round. Plus to will punch through the brush if a hog goes in the thick stuff....and they usually do.
