Good to have ya! #1 thing in bowhunting is that you have to be very close to your quarry, making concealment and scent control a must. That being said; there are a thousands of different ideas on how to accomplish that task. Different species of game also require different tactics and methods of hunting.

If you ask me hog hunting is the perfect introduction to hunting. Multiple opportunities, pleasant weather and just plain fun. I travel from NJ 2 or 3 times a year just to hog hunt. Hunts are generally over feeders at know distances, but shot placement is critical. If the ranch is conducive to it, spot and stalk is a blast.
I would think most ranches have an airstrip nearby and could transport you without any problem.
