    Calling in hogs?

Does any one use hog calls to bring them in. I have the primos hog grunter but have used it. would using the grunt bring pigs that are in sight closer or make them more skittish?
    thanks

Used my grunter once on a pig coming in. He took off and I threw the thing away. may be just my experience.

I watched a show where they were calling them in down in south Texas. They would call them and once they showed up they were just making grunt noises with their mouths. It was effective at that place! They were sticking pigs left and right.

We brought some in with a piglet. Dale caught it and it started going nuts! About 6 headed our way and Seth smoked one of them

I have been meaning to post this question after this past weekend. My buddy was out calling coyotes with his foxpro when he saw a big boar about two hundred yds away in a food plot. He wondered what the hog would do if he turned on the hog call. He said it was either boar distress or boars fighting. he said as soon ashe turned it on the boar turned and sprinted his way. When the boar was about 10 yards away he stood up and the boar turned and ran to the side a little ways but still circled out about 30 yards. While he was standing watching the boar he saw movement out of the corner of his eye. There were two more smaller boars running in about 75 yds out. He decide he had enough and started waving his arms and all the pigs turned and ran off. He thought it was awesome so we are going to take the caller, a 3d hog target as a decoy and try to call some up and kill them with our bows. Like Hawg Slayer 4 asked anybody else have any experiences calling them in????

Ive never had much luck even when i had them in sight. They would take off and never come back. Ive also herd that the hogs language is so destinct that its almost impossible with a electronic call.

I've done the mouth grunt at close range just to get them to stand still. It worked but I don't think they were fooled, 'specially when I let fly.

FoxPro uses actual animal recordings at a 24bit sounds quality (very good)
So I don't see how that would be an issue. You hear a lot of things though.
