Catfish Time!

I had catfishermen on my boat over the weekend. I chummed 3 spot and we had schools of cats on the chum within 30 minutes. Mostly channels ranging from 1-4 pounds with a few blues mixed in.
The redfish aren't showing up yet, I have been watching my graph for them as I run across the lake going to my catfish holes but nothing yet. It will be another 4-6 weeks before the redfish bite will kick in.

Pat I am going to have to bring Riley down for some catfishing. I hate slimy little bastages but she loves to catch those whisker fish.

These cats were all caught on Calaveras Lake here in San Antone. The water temps are not that critical when it comes to catfsh.

Lameduck, I clean all the fish for people. After years, and NO telling how many 1000s of fish, you get pretty quick at it.

My personal boat record was a group from Kansas last year. They caught 165 cats and they were cleaned and bagged in an hour and 20 minutes.
We had an assembly line going! One guy was pushing fish to me, I was running the fillet knife, I would pass the fillets to another guy and he would wash them and pass them off to another guy that was bagging.

And we didn't catch all the cats that were there that day, they were still biting when we left, they were just tired of catching them and the cooler was running over and all their beer was gone!
