gensis alot of bowfishing guides use they say they work great from what i heard but if im gunna spend that much ill just spend a hundred more and get the bow fish package bows it just sucks because my compunds and recurves are too nice to trash out for bow fishing but i dont use that pse any more so what the heck

its not the genesis that everyone is useing, the genesis only goes to 20 pounds. Its the ams fishhawk that they are using. It is a 40 pound bow and is designed to be able to shoot the snap shots that everyone is talking about and yes 70 percent of your shots will be like this. I have a friend that has a like new fishhawk for sale for 180 tyd they are about 250 new. as far as reels go ams is the best for a beginner, but a muzzy reel is hard to beat and i have taken 6+ foot gar and 60+ pound buffalo with a muzzy reel...if you use the 200 pound fastflight line it will not bury into itself like the other lines and still has plenty of strenght to land big fish...hope this helps. if you need more info pm me
