still working on polising the wood a bit

have about 8 coats of tung oil on it now , need to find a good wood polish , carnuba was or something to bring out a little shine

                  thanks guys

may be looking to make more !

Get a cloth buffing wheel and some polishing compound and use that on the wood after you've sanded it to 400 or 600 grit. Then clean all the polishing compound off the wood, and get some Johnson's Paste Wax and heat the handle by holding over a stove burner--warm, but not too hot. Wipe the paste wax on the handle -- if it doesn't melt, the handle isn't warm enough. Repeat 4 times, polish with an old t-shirt, and it's done. When the handle loses its shine, just wax it up again.

Here's one I did couple of years ago:

The super fine automotive sand paper works good too the 1000 grit and it will be cheaper than buying a polishing wheel if you don't have a grinder

                          Thanks for the polishing tips

Knife looks great, I have yet to try a build with the a tang or guard

                          Maybe next time

I do need some tools as well

Sander , grinder, vice , drill press

                          In good time !

Use Tru Oil for the high polish. I'd do about 5-6 coats if you want to float out the grain completely. Appy with your index finger. Paste wax for final coat.

                            They look great!
