Does ONE of those black mats stop an arrow? I am smack in the middle of a neighborhood and want to start shootin in my yard instead of going to my in laws or parents.

I shoot a medium sized rhino octagon target. I am gonna hinge up a mat or two to my fence so I can fold it in or out. I am just curious if I need only one or more than one mat?

    I shoot a z7 at about 285-290 fps. I think like 66 or 67 # KE

The mats at Tractor supply that cost around $40, are about 1 inch thick, and will stop every arrow I've seen shot into it, even with broadheads attached.

I just use a sheet of 1/2" thick OSB plywood. Drill a 1/2" diameter hole in each top corner of the sheet. Put a 3" long 1/4" diameter screw in one end of two 2x4s that are about 3ft longer than the sheet.

To set it up, simply lean the OSB against the 2x4s with the screws going through the holes. All the screws do is keep the 2x4s from slipping.

Not the easiest thing to remove arrows from if hit it but not impossible.

Portable, cheap and easy to build. Just don't let the OSB get rained on. It doesn't take getting wet very well.

Pretty hard from what I've heard. You can take a knife and pry it out

You do have to pull hard, but 1 man should be able to pull an arrow out.
