    What kind of insect?

    This was on our lemon tree this am and I took some pictures. It look like a hummingbird but a little smaller. What exactly is it?

      I realize that but wondering what it is. About 3 inches long- very colorful

        Don't know the exact species or breed tho-
        They can get pretty big,,, about the size of half a dollar bill.

                I think is is a Sphinx moth. I took alot of pictures to get a few good ones. It is actually a Cannon EOS with auto zoom on a sport setting. No talent needed- trust me. Point and shoot.

                  haha that was my mindset when i was I went to Europe and it totally worked out. the megapixels on p&s cameras these days is redic!

                      I don't know the name of that moth, but I saw one identical to it on the side of my house here in Floresville 2 years ago. It was beautiful, and HUGE for an insect. Have not seen one before that or since then.

                        skull head moth... it puts the lotion on its skin or it gets the hose again..
