    7-11 update: No whuppin needed

Just got back from talking with the manager. As soon as he pulled up and saw me sitting by the news papers he said "not her"!! He knows me and the misses very well.
The clerk had already explained his side even though I told him I was extremely ****** and didn't really care but would listen instead of dragging him over the counter.
Another customer was in there at the same time and the clerk never figured he would never stick a cold burrito in the back of his pants under his coat and it must be in my wife's purse. The guy came back a few minutes later and said he was full and needed to use the RR. Brilliant move Einstein...
The clerk asked him how he liked the burrito. He finally admitted to taking it and paid for it. They told him to never come back.
The clerk now feels like dog poo and the manager and 7-11 corporate will review the video.
After all, it's all about the video!!

I think everybody involved should take one of your "pills" and have a group hug.
      Glad all is clear.

Sounds to me like the clerk needs more training by management on addressing shoplifting SUSPECTS and not just any/all customers that happen to be in the store.

I'd have demanded a free burrito now.

Good deal glad he came to his senses.

Mike I know someone who was accused of stealing from JC Penneys a few years ago...he was cuffed and walked into the store by loss prevention in front of his family, when they reviewed the tape they quckly realized they got the wrong guy in a yellow shirt..

My buddy didn't freak out, but Pennys sure did. He was hand delivered a 10,000 dollar check 2 days after eventhough he never mentioned suing them. Course he had to sign a little piece of paper saying this would satisfy his claim

I say the clerk in your case got off easy, hopefully he learned a lesson.

Sorry he made the mistake and he does need some training but I am impressed he knew the burrito was missing and took some type action although it was the wrong action. I had some employee's over the years that would watch a thief and do nothing those are the one's that need a kick in the paper or plastic.

Ya think the clerk was guilty of profiling?
