How many people does it take to turn on a A/C

Story: we are currently at Chilis eating dinner. When we got here it as very hot. We kindly asked the waiter if there was something that could be done. Next thing you know there is not 1, not 2, but 3 people trying to figure out how to turn down the A/C using a digital thermostat. I just had to laugh.
