    USCCA Anyone familiar?

USCCA United States Concealed Carry Association.

I'm getting emails and some of what I've read seems OK. But because I don't really know about them I'm leary of things like "would you be interested in possible concealed carry insurance?" and such.Tim says he's working on getting insurance to members for legal fees in case of a shooting. Might not be a bad idea if reasonably priced.
Is this a legit group? Or a place to stay away from???

And I'm not a member, just receive emails

I asked this back in Jan 2011 and never really got any responses.

Anyone know if it's a good org or not???

Have been a member for about 2 yrs now. Magazine and online newsletter have great info for chl holders. Everything from how to pick holsters, range and shooting exercises to legal advice. Having said that, they introduced theinsurance program about a year ago as an addition to your membership, or I should say an option. They have now made it part of the membership package which GREATLY increased the cost of membership, and in effect forces you to purchase it if you want to be a member. I have retained my membership so far, but have considered cancelling because of this. They provide great info for the chl holder, but I don't want the insurance forced on me.

I have been wondering about this organization as well. What would be more beneficial to someone who carries a handgun- a year's membership to USCCA with some insurance and literature to read on the subject or $137 of ammo to practice with???

I feel like the cost of membership is worth it for me in order to gain as much knowledge as I can on concealed carry and all that goes with it. I think the cost is a little high, but on the outside chance I ever need to use the insurance, better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it
